How do artists use color to affect perception and set the mood or tone of an artwork?
Color schemes, color wheels, watercolor techniques are concepts and skills that we have developed in the art classroom this past week. The students filled in color wheel diagrams as reference tools for next week’s color studies.
Guided practice led by Mr. Morris provided opportunity for the students to develop basic painting techniques in acrylic and watercolor paints. Next week’s concepts and activities will bring more color into our lives. Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, split-complements, color triads, warm and cool colors are the color schemes Art 1 students will use to affect perception and set the tone for their individual artworks.
